Overview

The Student visa is for people aged 16 or over who have been offered a place by a licensed UK education provider. It replaced the old Tier 4 (General) visa.

We help you shortlist universities, secure your offer and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), organise your financial evidence and submit a complete visa application. After your course, you may be able to switch to the Graduate visa and stay on to work.

Who can apply

The main requirements. A counsellor will check your situation in detail.

  • An unconditional offer and a CAS from a licensed student sponsor
  • Enough money to pay your course fees for the first year
  • Living costs of £1,529 a month in London or £1,171 a month elsewhere (for up to 9 months), held for 28 days in a row
  • English at the required level: usually B2 for degree-level courses and B1 below degree level
  • Parental consent if you are 16 or 17

  • Academic certificates and transcripts listed on your CAS
